About

Built by students who believe Folsom can listen better.

Voices of Folsom is a small, student-led project with a big belief: that the people who live in a city are its best source of ideas — if someone makes it easy to be heard.

What it is

A friendlier way to share what your city needs

Instead of long surveys or crowded meetings, Voices of Folsom turns local improvements into quick, thoughtful questions. Answer a few and you help paint a clear picture of what Folsom cares about most.

Why it exists

Good ideas shouldn't need a microphone

Plenty of residents have great ideas but never enough time to attend a council meeting. We wanted a way for every voice — busy parents, students, seniors — to count, without the friction.

How feedback becomes action

From a quick tap to a clear priority

  1. 01

    We ask one clear question

Each idea becomes a short, focused question — no jargon, no 40-question survey.

  2. 02

    Residents weigh in

Neighbors choose what matters most and how urgent it feels, in under a minute.

  3. 03

    Answers become priorities

We group responses into honest, shared themes anyone can read and understand.

  4. 04

    Priorities invite action

Clear signals make it easier for the community and its leaders to act with confidence.

Privacy principles

Built to be trusted

Sharing your voice should never feel risky. These principles guide everything we build.

  • Anonymous by default

Results are shown as community-wide patterns, never tied to an individual.

  • Only what's needed

We ask for the minimum to keep things fair — and nothing is sold, ever.

  • Yours to leave

Choose how you hear from us, and step away in a single tap whenever you like.

An important note

Voices of Folsom is a student-led civic initiative and is not an official City of Folsom website.

This is a Phase 1 prototype. The statistics, ideas, and quotes shown across the site are illustrative demonstration data.
